  • Grow a Garden

    Grow a Garden

The Grow a Garden Membership Program is for volunteers to "grow their own garden" of other volunteers. This will help Girl Scouts of Northeastern NY offer Girl Scouting to a greater number of girls in our Council footprint. This means any volunteers you recruit to the cause are "Flowers" in your "Garden".
  • Requirements:

Recruit an adult to fill a volunteer position.
The adult registers with GSUSA and completes a background check.
The adult registers in one of the following Girl Scout volunteer roles:

    • Troop Leader
    • Troop or Service Unit Helper
    • Troop or Service Unit Cookie Parent
    • Troop or Service Unit Sweets and Treats Manager
    • Troop or Service Unit Treasurer
    • Troop or Service Unit Secretary
    • Other Troop or Service Unit Volunteer Role (please specify)

We will review the information you have submitted and keep a tally of the number of recruits that become volunteers from your referrals. When you reach one of the above stated milestones (1st recruit, 5th recruit, 10th recruit, 15th recruit, 20th recruit) the information will be verified and your Daisy pin will be awarded to you.

The pins will be awarded at the Volunteer dinner. Any recognitions not picked up at the Volunteer dinner will be provided to the Service Unit for distribution.

The volunteer who recruits adults will receive a keepsake Daisy Pin, based on the scale listed below:

    • Level I: White Daisy Pin: 1st Recruit
    • Level 2: Yellow Daisy Pin: 5th recruit
    • Level 3: Blue Daisy Pin:10th recruit
